
Using a vegetable peeler, pull a few long ribbons of orange peel, avoiding the white pith where possible. In a small saucepan, combine the orange peel with the 3 tea bags, 1 teaspoon peppercorns, 1/2 teaspoon cloves, and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Add 2½ tablespoons sugar and stir until dissolved, about 1 minute. Cover, remove from the heat, and let cool completely, +/- 2 hours. Strain the tea and discard the spices and peels.
In a shaker, stir together the tea, 2.5 oz grapefruit juice, 6 oz Field Trip Botanical, and lots of ice. Strain and divide among four rocks glasses filled with ice and top with some tonic water. Garnish with orange wedges. Enjoy!
